Kim’s love of writing began at age 10 and over the years she has produced works of poetry, satire, family journals, and op-ed pieces in addition to her first novel, Chased by Grace – A Story of Victory. Her second book, Grace for Mom’s in Crisis, is designed as a survival handbook for parents with an expected publication next year.
Her phone interview with author Steve Arterburn, founder of New Life Ministries, was distributed to ministry supporters across the country. Selected by the Travis County Juvenile Justice Probation Dept. as their parent rep, Kim was interviewed by KXAN for a week-long series to educate the community on Teen Drug Court.
Kim was a panel speaker with professionals in the field of addiction treatment at an event hosted by Disease of Addiction (DOA), a group founded to educate communities about addiction. The program spanned two half-day segments presented to Austin I.S.D. educators who received continuing education credit. Panel members spoke about addiction in teenagers and closed with a Q & A session.
Kim is active on the worship team and various outreach ministries at her church, was a long time volunteer in the Kairos prison ministry, and is a past parent representative on the National Council of Juvenile Justice and Family Court Judges.
